1. Prepare Happy Aging survey
Contact your Customer Success Manager for assistance with scheduling your Happy Aging initiative. The Happy Aging survey with it's fixed set of validated statements will be activated to your community. You only need to prepare the communication around this initiative with an Intro and Closing text.
- Intro and Closing Text: Draw your custom opening and closing messages to make residents feel truly heard and share this information with your SC Manager. (This feature will become available soon to be self-managed).
2. Schedule Happy Aging Survey
Happy Aging surveys can be scheduled from the Community Pulse module in backoffice. Go to Surveys Scheduled Surveys and click Schedule new survey.
Configuration Details
When setting up the survey, you will define the following:
- Template: select the Happy Aging template activated for your community
- Name: give your own survey name
- Publishing: Set a start date/time and an optional end date.
- Response Type: Choose between identified, anonymous, or participant's choice.
- Participants: Filter by role type, bulk add users, or individually select active users.
3. Complete a Happy Aging Survey
Participants receive in-app and push notifications as invitation to participate at the Happy Aging survey. According to the selected response type, they can participate anonymously, identified or chose themselves how. The Happy Aging surveys starts with a consent question which may refused, leading the resident to an open feedback question. Given consent, the survey displays each Happy Aging statement at a time with a user-friendly 5 item Likert-scale and the option to move backwards to the previous statements for review or adaptation. Before the survey closure, residents can give open feedback to this topic.
On Behalf of Participant: Staff can use the Staff App to assist residents. From the Surveys cube, staff can search by participant name or filter by roles to complete assigned surveys on the resident's behalf.
4. View Happy Aging Survey Activity
Monitor engagement and download results directly from the Scheduled Surveys tab.
- Details: View the template used, publishing dates, response types and survey questions.
- Participants: Track real-time status (not started, in progress, or completed) and send reminders to those who haven't finished yet.
- Activate survey export: to generate survey results in Downloads.
- Downloads: Download calculated Happy Aging results in .xls format. Combine multiple exports if survey is scheduled in multiple waves.
5. Understand the Happy Aging results
The .xls export combines the Happy Aging 360 results for all participants. For each participant, the total Happy Aging 360 is calculated, as a score on 5. You'll immediately identify who's thriving and who may be experiencing lower-than-expected well-being.
Next, you'll get the scores for the 5 Happy Aging domains, with a colour-coded indication:
- Green (≥4): Flourishing. The resident is thriving in this area.
- Yellow (3-4): Steady. Keep an eye on this pillar to ensure they stay on track.
- Red (<3): Priority Support. This is an immediate opportunity for a one-on-one conversation to understand their challenges.
6. Resident profile enriched with personal Happy Aging 360
For each resident who completed the Happy Aging survey, you'll receive a personal Happy Aging badge with detailed insights per domain, in the Resident Experience overview.
- Overview: Read the personal Happy Aging 360 as one of the experience indicators.
- If no score is indicated, go to Scheduling/Participants and invite the resident for the Happy Aging 360 survey.
- Score: Click to open the detailed personal Happy Aging badge with detailed insights per domain.
- The detailed domain-level insights equip your team with a deeper understanding of underlying challenges and support the implementation of targeted, personalized intervention strategies.
7. Start remediation
Well-being is personal. It evolves according to the context, experiences, and stage of life. That's why Happy Aging is a continuous, personalized journey, supported by the right insights at the right time.
