Overview
The Resident Story allows staff to share meaningful Moments from residents' daily lives with their families. This helps strengthen transparency and emotional connection between communities and families, while giving staff a clear and reliable way to communicate what matters most.
Terminology used in Cubigo
- Moments: Meaningful highlights created and shared by staff.
- Posts: Automatically generated updates based on completed service requests or activity attendance.
Visibility
The Resident Story is only visible to:
- Family members with follow-up rights
- Team members with access to the Resident Experience back office
How moments are created
Staff can create moments through two supported flows:
- Direct moment creation (Resident Experience back office or iOS Staff app) for a specific resident
- Album-based moment creation (using uploaded images)
Both flows are supported by Albums, which allow staff to upload and manage images before creating Moments.
Using albums
Albums allow staff to collect and organize images that can later be used when creating moments.
Uploading images
Images can be uploaded from both the Web platform and the iOS Staff app.
Web platform
- Upload up to 50 images at a time using the Upload button, or by dragging and dropping images onto the page.
iOS Staff app
- Select the Albums cube to upload images directly from your iPhone or iPad.
- This avoids the need to transfer images from your phone to a computer first.
Once uploaded, images become available during moment creation.
Direct Moment creation
Moments can be created directly for a specific resident.

Once saved, the moment appears in the resident’s story. Family members with follow-up rights are notified automatically.

Album-based Moment creation
Album-based creation allows staff to create moments using one or multiple uploaded images.
- Open the Albums back office.
- Browse the chronological overview of uploaded images (grouped by month).
- Select images:
- Hover over an image and check the box to select it.
- Selected images appear highlighted.
- Use the menu in the top-right corner and select Create moment.
- The moment creation panel opens with the selected images already added.
Additional options
- Create a moment from a single image using the three-dot menu on the image.
- Delete single or multiple images using the same selection method.
When creating a moment through Albums:
- Add a description.
- Select one or more residents.
If multiple residents are selected, the moment is added to each resident’s individual story timeline.
Following up and viewing family interactions
Staff can review what families see in the Story section of the Resident Experience detail.
This view mirrors the family experience and allows staff to:
- Review shared moments and posts
- Edit or delete existing moments
- See family engagement through view and like counts
Filtering content
- Use the date range filter to find moments and posts from a specific timeframe.
- Use the type filter to show only Moments or only Posts.
Automated Posts
Not all story content is created manually by staff. Cubigo automatically generates posts for certain completed services, ensuring families still receive updates even when no manual moments are added.
Automated posts are created when the following services are completed:
- Activities (attendance tracked)
- Dining (in-suite and Dining POS)
- Transportation
- Concierge
- Wellness
