1. Open the Newsfeed
The Newsfeed is where your community shares updates (announcements, events, reminders, etc.).
From the Cubigo home screen:
- Select News in the top menu bar (computer), or the bottom menu bar (tablet/phone).
Tablet:
2. Read a news post (and understand what you see)
In the Newsfeed, you can:
- See all updates posted by staff
- Spot new items (a small badge can appear when there is unread news)
- Recognize which service a post relates to (an icon is shown next to the title)
Some news posts include multiple photos. If you click a photo, it can open larger and you can move to the next/previous image.
3. Comment on a news post
If comments are enabled, you can reply to a news post by typing in the comment field and selecting Send.
- Your comment will be visible to all residents in your community.
- This is not a private message to staff.
- You can delete your own comment (trash can icon) if needed.
4. Start a chat (private message)
Chats let you privately message other Cubigo users in your community.
From the Cubigo home screen:
- Select Chats (top menu bar on computer, bottom menu bar on tablet/phone).
- Select New chat.
- Choose the person you want to message.
- Type your message and select Send.
Residents can start 1-on-1 chats.
Group chats are created by staff (team members).
5. Manage chats (archive/leave)
You can clean up your chat list anytime:
- Archive a 1-on-1 conversation to hide it from your list.
- Leave a group chat if you no longer want updates.
If you leave a group chat and later want to rejoin, ask a staff member to add you again.
6. Find someone in the Directory
The Directory helps you find people in your community (residents and staff), like a searchable photo book.
Typical steps:
-
Open the Information cube.
- Open Directories (Residents or Team).
- Use the search bar to type a name, or filter by role (if available).
- Select a person to see more details and possible contact options.
Note: People can hide personal information from the directory using their privacy settings.
7. View notifications
Cubigo sends notifications when something changes in a service you requested (for example: updates to a request or activity).
You may see notifications in two places:
- On your home screen: reminders for today’s services/activities.
- In the Notification Center: a list of recent notifications (unread items may be highlighted).
To open the Notification Center:
- Select the notifications indicator in the top bar (often shown as a number).
- From here, you can mark all as seen or delete them one by one
- To delete all of them, continue to the next section
8. Delete notifications
If your Notification Center is getting crowded, you can delete notifications.
From the Notification Center:
- Delete items one by one (recycle bin icon), or
- Select Delete all (if available).
9. Who to contact for help
If you need help with:
- Not seeing someone in Chats or the Directory
- Not receiving notifications
- Understanding whether something is public (news comments) or private (chat)
Please contact your community staff first.
They can help you directly or reach out to Cubigo Support if needed.
