Why?
Some modulators for an in-suite channel require a different input than the standard HDMI output from the AppleTV, generating our Cubigo channel content. If this is the case, we need to downgrade/transform our HDMI signal to the required input. This will be done by a converter.
What?
"Converter" is a general term to describe a device that converts any signal into any other.
Examples can be found below:
- Rasfox (HDMI > RCA):
- RF to BNC
How?
Before the installation of the in-suite channel and after the tech audit, all required inputs and outputs will be mapped. At this point, the Cubigo SPOC will advise the client on the converters needed.
Remarks
The Rasfox converter (HDMI to Composite) is very sensitive to power conditioning. Make sure to plug it directly into the power outlet. It needs to warm up before broadcasting an optimal image.
- Through power bar
2. Directly in a power outlet
3. After "warming up"
