Downloading and Installing the Cubigo App
It is important to help residents with the download and installment of the Cubigo application onto their devices before starting the actual training sessions.
- Make sure to get all the residents up and running on their devices before the training session starts.
- RECs can make rounds to the residences for individual download and installment instruction.
- RECs can either extend the session or ask the residents to come early to help them install the application.
- The trainer(s) explains that Cubigo can be accessed on all their devices (tablets, smartphones, and PCs).
- Does the Cubigo app work on a Kindle? You can use the web version and add it as a bookmark, but Cubigo does not have an app for Kindles.
- Navigate to: https://www.cubigo.com/en/product/download/ or the App Store for the device.
- Choose to download the Cubigo App for the following:
- iOS – iPhone, iPad, etc.

- Navigate to the App Store/Play Store and type in ‘Cubigo’ to find the ‘Cubigo Community Application’
- Add a Shortcut to the Home Screen
- In My Shortcuts
in the Shortcuts app, tap
on a shortcut to open it, then tap
to open Details.
- Tip: To access the Shortcuts User Guide, tap Shortcuts Help.
- Tap Add to Home Screen.
- The shortcut is now added to your Home Screen.
- In My Shortcuts
- Add a Website Bookmark to the Home Screen
- To create a website link, launch Safari on the iPhone or iPad.
- Navigate to the site that you want to create a Home Screen shortcut to.
- Tap the Share icon (the square with an arrow pointing out of it) at the bottom of the screen.
- Scroll down to the list of actions and tap Add to Home Screen
- If you do not see the action, scroll to the bottom and tap Edit Actions, then tap Add next to the Add to Home Screen After that, you will be able to select it from the Share Sheet.
- Type a name for your site link. This will be the title that appears beneath its icon on your Home Screen.
- Tap Add in the top-right corner of the screen.
- Your new ‘Web App’ will appear in the next available space on your device's Home Screen. To move it like you would any other app, tap and hold its icon, then tap Edit Home Screen, and you will be able to drag it to your desired location.
- When you have placed it where you want it, tap Done.
- Android – All Android devices.
- Desktop – For Laptops & Computers/PCs.
- Web Access – Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari (Cubigo works on all browsers EXCEPT Internet Explorer).

Tips:
- Make sure the residents Allow Notifications – this allows them to get the push notifications with updates.
- Do this before the training session starts.
- This can take up to 5 minutes per resident.
Updating a Resident’s Profile Information
- First step is to set or update their password instead of keeping the default password:
- In their PERSONAL MENU > go to their Profile > Account tab > Password
- Click on the Pencil icon to edit > enter their new Password > click [Save].
- Let them write down their password.
- For residents wanting to keep their default passwords, we advise changing it to a unique password for privacy reasons.
- If the resident forgets their password:
- If they use email, it can be reset from the log in page [FORGOT YOUR PASSWORD].
- Otherwise, Admin needs to reset their password in the Cubigo back office: USER > Residents > in the Name, email or phone number search field at the top of the grid, search for the resident’s profile > click on resident to access their profile > go to Account tab > Password field > click on the Pencil icon to edit > enter their new Password > click [Save].
- If the resident has a verified account (linked to their personal email address), the resident can reset their password by using the ‘reset password’ button. If the resident does not have a verified account, then the Admin of the platform can change their password.
- If they use email, it can be reset from the log in page [FORGOT YOUR PASSWORD].
- Second step is to change the generic email address to their personal email address:
- In their PERSONAL MENU > go to their Profile > Account tab > Email
- Click on the Pencil icon to edit > enter their new Email address > click [Save].
- After updating their email address, go to USER > Residents > in the Name, email or phone number search field at the top of the grid, search for the resident’s profile > in the Action column, select Send invite from the drop-down list.
- Remind the resident to use their NEW email address to log in to Cubigo the next time.
- If a couple has the same email address, the residents can link one account to the email address and the other one to a generic address.
- If the resident does not have a personal email address, the generic email address can be used, but we advise changing their password to a unique password for privacy reasons.
- In their PERSONAL MENU > go to their Profile > Account tab > Password
- Click on the Pencil icon to edit > enter their new Password > click [Save].
- Let them write down their password.
