Uploading your own YouTube videos

Check that that you have activated the following settings

Playing videos on your Digital Screens or In-House Channel

Not all YouTube videos are compatible with Cubigo. Premium (paid) content, licensed videos, and private videos will not play. For more information about copyright and YouTube click here.

• Connection: YouTube videos stream to Cubigo and rely on a stable connection to display. If the video has any issues loading, it will not play.
• Compatible Videos: Make sure the video is free, public or unlisted, and is hosted by a compatible YouTube Channel. Purchased content, including YouTube Premium content, is not compatible with Cubigo due to licensing. YouTube also offers the ability to view movies "Free with Ads" on the YouTube Movies channel on their site. Unfortunately, these videos are not compatible with Cubigo either due to licensing issues.
• Embedding: There are some YouTube videos that have special licensing that do not allow for embedding in other systems. Unfortunately there is often no easy way to tell if this is the case, but more often than not, movie and sports-related content is blocked. If the video can be embedded and plays on the iOS Cubigo Application (on your iPad or iPhone) then it should work on your Cubigo Digital Signage. 

If the video still does not play even after confirming the above, likely our system was unable to connect to YouTube at the scheduled play time. Our YouTube integration uses streaming to display on the Cubigo Digital Signage. If the system is unable to load the YouTube video to play, it will freeze or return to slide carousel. If your video plays sometimes and not others, this is most often the case.
