How to build a balanced calendar offering
In order to match activities with resident preferences and interests, Cubigo offers intelligence via a 3-level category tree for activities. You can label an activity according to the following 3 levels: Dimension, Category, and Type.
- As an example, the activity ‘Breathing Yoga with Emily’ will be labeled as follows:
- Level 1 = Dimension - 6 dimensions of wellness (e.g., ‘Physical’)
- Level 2 = Category of activity (e.g., ‘Workout’)
- Level 3 = Type of activity (e.g., ‘Yoga’)
1. To add a new activity and build a balanced calendar, go to the back office > ACTIVITIES > Items
2. Click on the [Add activity] button in the top right corner.
3. Once the activities Details page opens, begin entering all relevant information about the activity.
4. Click on the [Select] button in the top right corner to choose the category.
You many enter the activity in the Search box at the top or select one of the Dimensions in the panel on the left, then choose the activity type and category that is the best match.
When creating an activity, remember to select a category so residents can easily find what they are interested in.
We distinguish between the following 6 dimensions with each of them having their own color tag: Community Engagement, Emotional, Intellectual, Physical, Social, Spiritual.
You many enter the activity in the Search box at the top or select one of the Dimensions in the panel on the left, then choose the activity type and category that is the best match.
Once you have made your selection, click on the [Choose] button to return to the Details page.
5. If you are finished entering your activities details, click on the [Save activity] button at the bottom of the screen.
In both the THIS WEEK or THIS MONTH calendar overviews, you can see how balanced the calendar is. This way, you can manage the amount of each type of activity and offer a variety of activities to the residents.
To see these calendar overviews, on the main Activities page, either click on the [THIS WEEK] or [THIS MONTH] button in the top right corner.
You are able to match this to resident interests by adding details under Users > Residents > Chose Resident > Preferences > Interests. This correlates with the categories above and can be used to plan programming that matches resident preferences. The resident interest report shows this direct correlation. This report can be found under Activities > Metrics > Resident Interests
