Once all orders are taken by the server, the ticket will be send to the kitchen for food preparation. Next, the kitchen will inform the servers when dining items are ready to be served. Herefore the kitchen rings a bell. Now the server registers in the application which meal is served to which guest seated on a specific table. This registration happens before or after the serving out.
When items are ready for serving, the server can click the table to get an overview of the items that need to be served. The bottom part of the page shows the complete table ticket ready to be served : table number, status ordered, items are ordered for which guest/seat. Touch the grey line above the table number and swipe to the top to read the complete table ticket.
Click on [Serve] when the course is served to the guests. The table returns to green (Serve status) and the table ticket becomes empty. Click on Order if - starting from this step in the dining serving process- the guests want to order extra items like drinks or side dishes.
Indicating this serve status allows you to keep an overview on the served meals, the pipeline to be served and track the status evolution for metrics purposes (time between statuses eg seated – ordered – served).
