The copy feature allows you to duplicate an existing news article to use as a template for creating a new one. This saves time when you want to create similar articles or reuse content.
How to Copy a News Article*
- Navigate to Publish → News in the back office panel
- Find the article you want to copy
- Navigate to the Action column
- Click the Choose drop down menu and select Copy
- A new article creation form will open with pre-populated content
- A banner will appear at the top confirming the successful copy
- Review and modify the content as needed
- Save your new article
What Gets Copied
The copy function transfers most of the original article's content and settings, including:
- Article content
- Images
- Category settings
- Publishing options
NOTE: The following items will not be copied:
- Comments from the original article
- Start and end dates
- Specific digital signage date broadcasting settings
Best Practices
- Review all content before publishing the new article
- Set new start and end dates as needed
- Adjust digital signage settings if required
- Update any time-sensitive information in the copied content
*News articles that were created with the 'Highlight an Activity' feature cannot be copied.
